Frequently Asked Questions

Can I check in early?
Early check-in is sometimes possible depending on availability. Contact us at least 48 hours before your arrival and we'll do our best. There may be a small fee for early check-in.
Is there WiFi at the cabins?
Limited WiFi is available on property. Cell service (AT&T and Verizon) is usable but may be slow depending on your carrier. We recommend planning to be somewhat disconnected — that's part of the experience. Download your navigation and streaming before you arrive.
How many guests can I bring?
Each unit has a posted maximum occupancy — please respect it. For groups larger than a single unit can accommodate, we offer multi-unit bookings. Call us to discuss group rates and arrangements for reunions, fishing clubs, and tournaments.
Where can I buy groceries and bait nearby?
Huntsville (30 min south) has H-E-B, Walmart, and multiple tackle/bait shops. Madisonville (20 min east) has basic groceries and a local bait shop. We stock a limited supply of common baits on site. We strongly recommend buying groceries and live bait before arriving.
Can I have a campfire?
Yes — each unit includes a fire ring. Fires must be kept inside the fire ring, never left unattended, and fully extinguished before you go to sleep or leave the area. During burn bans (announced by Madison County), no fires are permitted.
Do I need a fishing license?
Yes. A valid Texas fishing license is required for all anglers age 17 and older. Licenses can be purchased at Walmart in Huntsville, online at the TPWD website, or via the TPWD mobile app. We cannot sell fishing licenses on site.
What is your policy for groups and tournaments?
We regularly host fishing clubs, bass tournaments, and family reunions. Group bookings spanning multiple cabins and/or RV sites may qualify for special rates. Call us directly at (936) 348-6519 to discuss your group's needs and we'll put together a package.
Is swimming allowed in the river?
Swimming is at your own risk and is not recommended near the boat ramp due to current and boat traffic. Children must be supervised near the water at all times. The Trinity can have strong, unpredictable currents — please be careful.
