Fish. Float.
Stay.

Tucked along the upper Trinity River outside Midway, Texas, Trinity River Boat Launch has been putting anglers and families on the water for decades. Whether you're launching a bass boat at dawn, floating the river on a lazy afternoon, or settling into a cabin after a long day on the water — this is the place.

We're about an hour north of Houston, just off TX-OSR (FM 2548) outside Midway. The Trinity produces channel catfish, blue cat, largemouth bass, and crappie year-round. Our concrete ramp is one of the best access points on this stretch of the river.

The Trinity River Bites

Year-round catfishing and seasonal bass action make the Trinity one of East Texas's most productive rivers. Here's what you'll find.

Channel Catfish

The bread-and-butter fish of the Trinity. Catches of 5–20 lbs are common. Best on cut shad and stink bait.

Blue Catfish

Trophy blue cats patrol the deeper holes. The river record runs well over 50 lbs. Flatline live shad for the big ones.

Largemouth Bass

Work the timber and grass edges in early morning. Spring and fall are prime. Texas-rigged plastics dominate.

Crappie

Excellent crappie fishing around the brushy flats in spring. Tube jigs and minnows under floats do the trick.

Real Anglers. Real Stays.

"Awesome place — took the kids out there a few weeks ago, they had a blast. Let my son use the canoe, my daughters played on the bank and fished. We camped the night before and had a good time. Good place to camp."
